In the 19th minute, Masamorrero's Luís Paulo Pereira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Alves in the 22nd minute of play forced La Escaloneta FC's goalkeeper Artemio Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Escaloneta FC's goalkeeper Artemio Montrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, La Escaloneta FC's goalkeeper Artemio Montrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olívio Alves. With an all-out effort, Masamorrero's Artemio Montrell threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Paulo Pereira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Luzea to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Honorato Soter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Honorato Soter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Agustin Vidal made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olívio Alves in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artemio Montrell saved La Escaloneta FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in La Escaloneta FC's zone, Luís Paulo Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Montrell came out of the goal and Luís Paulo Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Luís Paulo Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Masamorrero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. When Andrea De Fina fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Masamorrero's protests and gave Andrea De Fina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Masamorrero getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Andrea De Fina hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, La Escaloneta FC's Marco Firmin got a free kick in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Masamorrero's Luís Paulo Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artemio Montrell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. 86 minutes into the match, Masamorrero's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Luzea came free, but Agustin Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Olívio Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Montrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Masamorrero's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Placido Luzea 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 9-1. Masamorrero walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
