Placido Gartzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Danilo Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Racing Club Carhue getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cosme Abeita hit a great ball. If Placido Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Racing Club Carhue defense, Rodolfo Egoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Taurino. The Racing Club Carhue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Taurino should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Placido Gartzea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Taurino was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Placido Gartzea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Danilo Taurino. That made the score 3-0 in the 15 minute of play. Danilo Taurino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Gartzea in the 22nd minute. Placido Gartzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Danilo Taurino made a huge save. After 29 minutes of play, Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Taurino was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Taurino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. If Hans Falck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 46 played minutes Racing Club Carhue got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Blanco. The audience held their breath when Prudencio Eleder in the 48th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Danilo Taurino's left hand side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Placido Gartzea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Danilo Taurino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Gartzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Egoi in the 57th minute of play forced Racing Club Carhue's goalkeeper Danilo Taurino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Gartzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Placido Gartzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Gartzea in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Taurino saved Racing Club Carhue from getting behind. After 72 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Placido Gartzea. When Vinicio Uhin fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club Carhue's protests and gave Vinicio Uhin a yellow card for diving instead. Vinicio Uhin hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Amílcar Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Placido Gartzea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Taurino was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. 80 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Placido Gartzea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Taurino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. Danilo Taurino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Egoi went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 13-0 was the resulting score. Placido Gartzea might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Taurino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Placido Gartzea ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Racing Club Carhue getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Aurelio Ralondo hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Placido Gartzea made a precise shot to the right of Danilo Taurino. Racing Club Carhue's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. Rodolfo Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Danilo Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rosario Central fully deserved thier win.
