After recieving a nice pass, LA DEL MONO's Rigoberto Cordareo tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, David Ieltxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Humberto Leocadio put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tomas Hulberto. In the 14th minute of the match LA DEL MONO got a corner. Club de Fútbol Aguilucho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rigoberto Cordareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Rigoberto Cordareo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomas Hulberto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15th minute, Humberto Leocadio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Cheche in the 18th minute of play forced Club de Fútbol Aguilucho's goalkeeper Tomas Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fabio Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club de Fútbol Aguilucho's Tomas Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Leocadio in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Marcelo Gomez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club de Fútbol Aguilucho and the LA DEL MONO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Club de Fútbol Aguilucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Gomez to maneuver through the defense. When LA DEL MONO's Humberto Leocadio in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tomas Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Cheche in the 33rd minute of the match. When LA DEL MONO's Nicolas Cheche in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. LA DEL MONO's Higinio Botello got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Humberto Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Leocadio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes LA DEL MONO got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Rudolfo. 51 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel da Cunha came free, but Fabio Betadur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Inautzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Betadur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Nicolas Cheche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tomas Hulberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Nicolas Cheche could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Tomas Hulberto however easily saved by the left post. Humberto Leocadios short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Tomas Hulberto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 78 minutes into the game, Severiano Inautzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fabio Betadur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Humberto Leocadio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Hulberto was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Tomas Hulberto made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Nicolas Cheche sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Severiano Inautzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club de Fútbol Aguilucho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Nicolas Cheche might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Hulberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Cheche ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Club de Fútbol Aguilucho getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Eliseo Frances hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, LA DEL MONO's Humberto Leocadio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomas Hulberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
