Roberto Romildo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Bautista went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Globo Juniors's Tadeo Raulo suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Globo Juniors made a substitution. Raimundo Estebe replaced Tadeo Raulo. The supporters of Globo Juniors booed when Bustamente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Jakue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Suero in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Romildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Globo Juniors's João Francisco Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Batista in the 36th minute of play. Roberto Romildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Suero, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Emanuel Bautista came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Globo Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Bautista couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Bustamente FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ceferino Rodriguez hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the game, Globo Juniors's Arnaldo Suero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Romildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Suero in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Romildo saved Bustamente FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Emanuel Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Globo Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Romildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arnaldo Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Estebe hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Arnaldo Suero scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Romildo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Globo Juniors's Raimundo Estebe got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 74 minutes of play, Globo Juniors's Arnaldo Suero made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Romildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Bustamente FC defense, Emanuel Bautista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Romildo. The Bustamente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Romildo should have stopped the shot. Pablo Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Raul Jakue cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. João Francisco Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Globo Juniors's Raimundo Estebe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Braulio Cuarto in the 95 minute of the game. Bustamente FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
