The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogelio Aimar got free with Leonel Banegas in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Banegas was a little too slow when Rogelio Aimar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Leonel Banegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Aimar in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Rogelio Aimar could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Leonel Banegas however easily saved by the left post. After 12 minutes of play, Roja Directa's Arturo Loramendi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Banegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Leonel Banegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Loramendi. Rogelio Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Leonel Banegas made a huge save. Rogelio Aimar succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Arturo Loramendi made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Banegas. Herradura AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 26th minute of the match Roja Directa got a corner. Herradura AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregorio Lico ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roja Directa's Gregorio Lico was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonel Banegas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Rogelio Aimar notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas. Leonel Banegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 35 minutes, Silvio Asur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herradura AFC and the Roja Directa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Herradura AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Asur. After 37 minutes of play, Roja Directa's Rogelio Aimar made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Banegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the game, Rogelio Aimar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonel Banegas. Rogelio Aimar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 9-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 10-0 at half-time.

Leonel Banegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Lico, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Aimar in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Rogelio Aimar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roja Directa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. In the 59th minute Rogelio Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Banegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Banegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Loramendi in the 62nd minute of the match. Leonel Banegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Haritz during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Herradura AFC defense, Silvano Cutberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Banegas. The Herradura AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Banegas should have stopped the shot. Leonel Banegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Cutberto in the 79th minute of the match. Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Tono in the 82nd minute of play. Leonel Banegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Cutberto in the 84th minute of play forced Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Leonel Banegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Banegas came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Roja Directa's Slavomil Hosnedl. But to his dismay, Slavomil Hosnedl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. Herradura AFC's Leonel Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Cutberto in the 88th minute of play. Roja Directa's Wilfredo Tono got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Arturo Loramendi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roja Directa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Arturo Loramendi put it in 17-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leonel Banegas. There was no doubt that Roja Directa were the better team. Roja Directa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
