RIO TALA's Ambrosio Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Moreno in the 11th minute of play. After 13 played minutes RIO TALA got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Izotz. After a defensive mix-up in RIO TALA's zone, Joaquin Tavio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Merexildo came out of the goal and Joaquin Tavio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Desiderio Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When C.A.Franzoi's Raúl Moreno in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RIO TALA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd match minute, RIO TALA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Gorosti to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, C.A.Franzoi's Raúl Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ambrosio Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Desiderio Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the C.A.Franzoi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Aballe couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Izotz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ambrosio Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Tavio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes RIO TALA got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Izotz. After a defensive mix-up in RIO TALA's zone, Raúl Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Merexildo came out of the goal and Raúl Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, RIO TALA's Domingos Sugoi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute Dario Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wladyslaw Rojewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes C.A.Franzoi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvaro Rayman who took care of the corner kick. RIO TALA's Ambrosio Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save RIO TALA from getting a goal against them. If Raúl Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to RIO TALA getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Domingos Sugoi hit a great ball. Joaquin Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Moreno struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ambrosio Merexildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Franzoi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Tavio got free with Ambrosio Merexildo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Joaquin Tavio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Desiderio Aballe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ambrosio Merexildo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Raúl Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
