Joaquin Tavio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Eutropio having to interfere. Damaso Madeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. One of Racing Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.A.Franzoi:s goal. Rodrigo Beremundo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Vicente Romo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

C.A.Franzoi's attack was well implemented in the 52nd minute, but when Joaquin Tavio was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick.
