Manuel Gizon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nereo Raymon firmly grabbed it by the left post. Blas Favila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nereo Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Duardo lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Papulote FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Adan Arce shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 31 minutes into the match, BASQUEL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Oidor came free, but Erubiel Hitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Manuel Gizon could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Nereo Raymon however easily saved by the left post. In the 37th minute, Raul Gonsalve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Errolan to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Gizon in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Raymon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Papulote FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Filiberto Eztebe hit a great ball. BASQUEL FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Celso Errolan scored to the left of an out of position Erubiel Hitz, making the score, 2-2. After 67 minutes, Blas Favila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BASQUEL FC and the Papulote FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Papulote FC's zone, Manuel Gizon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Raymon came out of the goal and Manuel Gizon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Oidor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erubiel Hitz. That made the score 2-3 in the 72 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Manuel Gizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Hitz having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the game, Blas Favila landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 84 minutes into the game, Raul Gonsalve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papulote FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BASQUEL FC the free kick. Raul Gonsalve hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Ricardo Fidensio came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the BASQUEL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Fidensio couldn't finish the play.
