When Saturnino Frances came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Blackdrop fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Frances couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, BASQUEL FC's Ricardo Fidensio got a free kick in the 17th minute. When Ismael Torres in the 19th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Erubiel Hitz kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ismael Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BASQUEL FC's Erubiel Hitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ignacio Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Hitz having to interfere. Erubiel Hitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Torres in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ignacio Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erubiel Hitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elpidio Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ismael Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Emmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erubiel Hitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Emmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in BASQUEL FC's zone, Ismael Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Hitz came out of the goal and Ismael Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Blackdrop were the better team. Blackdrop's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
