Anselmo Gomez made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Higinio Urtzi sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, Melquiades Danel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anselmo Gomez. Melquiades Danel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sportivo Italiano's Moises Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Soconcho's Aaron Eguerdi got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Adolfo Lapurdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Italiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Lapurdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Gomez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Higinio Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Cordeiro in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Gomez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Moises Cordeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Anselmo Gomez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Urbano Abaunza charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urbano Abaunza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soconcho getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Urbano Abaunza hit a great ball. Anselmo Gomez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Fernendo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 42 played minutes Soconcho got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Atarratze. In the 43rd minute, Moises Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Cordeiro was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sportivo Italiano's Melquiades Danel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo Gomez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Soconcho's Anselmo Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Urtzi in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Urbano Abaunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Gomez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaac Navarro went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Soconcho's zone, Isaac Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Gomez came out of the goal and Isaac Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Moises Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Gomez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Fernendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Elpidio Llanos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urbano Abaunza. Anselmo Gomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Cordeiro in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Moises Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Gomez came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Italiano's Moises Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Moises Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Soconcho's Anselmo Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Fernendo in the 80th minute of play. Anselmo Gomez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Moises Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Fernendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Gomez came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Italiano's Higinio Urtzi. But to his dismay, Higinio Urtzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. When the referee ended the match the Sportivo Italiano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
