In the 8th minute, Manuel Gizon made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Chico. Jaque Mate Ice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 11th minute, Leonel Madaleno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Leonel Madaleno sped through BASQUEL FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erubiel Hitz. 17 minutes into the game, Teofilo Bonadona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erubiel Hitz. Teofilo Bonadona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 19th minute, Leonel Madaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Gizon in the 20th minute of play. Erubiel Hitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Madaleno's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Leonel Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Erubiel Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erubiel Hitz came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaque Mate Ice's Teofilo Bonadona. But to his dismay, Teofilo Bonadona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Emilio Chico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Favila in the 32nd minute of the match. Emilio Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Gizon in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Jaque Mate Ice's Leonel Madaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erubiel Hitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The Jaque Mate Ice fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Jaque Mate Ice's Leonel Madaleno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-2 at half-time.
