Alex Novais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alex Novais was a little too slow when Chiquinho Rezende got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 7-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Larry Woodyat was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Platon in the 57th minute of play forced Calvo's goalkeeper Alex Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calvo's Alex Novais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Jacindo in the 58th minute of play.
