Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonas Otsando started the match with the kick off. Anier Dalmau charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Dalmau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anier Dalmau hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Beat in the 5th minute of play forced Guascan FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Primo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Alonzo Jurgi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th match minute, Vikingos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Beat to maneuver through the defense. Alejandro Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Berbiz having to interfere. Guascan FC's Ciriaco Primo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Beat in the 11th minute of play. Jonas Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Berbiz having to interfere. Jonas Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Berbiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Otsando ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alejandro Transito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Berbiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ciriaco Primo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ernesto Isaio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Vikingos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Isaio couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Isaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Primo having to interfere. When Dionisio Cambiasso came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Vikingos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Cambiasso couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes of play, Vikingos FC's Felix Beat made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Primo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Vikingos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Niceto Astudillo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Guascan FC's Ciriaco Primo got control of the ball when Felix Beat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isaias Viator hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jonas Otsando struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ricardo Berbiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guascan FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Transito in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Berbiz saved Vikingos FC from getting behind. Alejandro Transito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Berbiz having to interfere. Jonas Otsando charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Felix Beat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikingos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Beat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Beat struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ciriaco Primo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikingos FC. In the 79th match minute, Guascan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Dalmau to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ernesto Isaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikingos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Isaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Primo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guascan FC's zone, Felix Beat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Primo came out of the goal and Felix Beat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Vikingos FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guascan FC.
