Spectators: 7514 (Terracing: 5636, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baltasar Alfonso kicked off to start the match. After 8 minutes of play, Don Malbec's Ted Lasso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Sauveur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 15 minutes into the game, Baltasar Alfonso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Basilio Sauveur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baltasar Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Filipo during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Merced AFC's Cosme Filipo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Basilio Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Damião in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmas Veloz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Lazcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Sexto, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Lasso in the 42nd minute of play forced Merced AFC's goalkeeper Salvador Lazcano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Sexto in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Sexto was the one to do the kick off. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Nahia in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that José Carlos Damião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilio Sauveur was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Alfonso Retes got a free kick in the 59th minute. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Sexto in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elmas Veloz got free with Salvador Lazcano in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvador Lazcano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Sexto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Nahia came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Felix Nahia came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Don Malbec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Nahia couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, José Carlos Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merced AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carlos Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Sexto came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Sexto came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
