Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guido Gaizko started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as José Carlos Damião kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Galindo. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. AcinetobacterFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Prospero Abalos in the 11th minute. Baldomiro Heli made a great header on AcinetobacterFC's corner, it was just that Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 12th minute, José Carlos Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute José Carlos Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Alfonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, AcinetobacterFC's goalkeeper Ruben Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltasar Alfonso. In the 23rd minute Guido Gaizko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Alfonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruben Galindo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Merced AFC were awarded a corner. Cosme Filipo went to the cornerflag to take it. Baltasar Alfonso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 28th playminute. The supporters of Merced AFC booed when AcinetobacterFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar Alfonso got free with Ruben Galindo in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute of the match Merced AFC got a corner. AcinetobacterFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cosme Filipo ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 43rd minute, Cosme Filipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Lazcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Abalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes AcinetobacterFC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Leheren. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltasar Alfonso to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Loi's late challenge caught a Merced AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Loi helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes AcinetobacterFC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Loi. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Norberto Palban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merced AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Palban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Galindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, one of AcinetobacterFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AcinetobacterFC. AcinetobacterFC:s Ruben Galindo showed great skill when he stopped Cosme Filipo:s penalty. After some careless play in the AcinetobacterFC defense, Cosme Filipo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Galindo. The AcinetobacterFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Galindo should have stopped the shot. Ruben Galindo came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Merced AFC's Norberto Palban. But to his dismay, Norberto Palban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ruben Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Filipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Carlos Damião might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Galindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carlos Damião ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the match, José Carlos Damião notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of AcinetobacterFC's Ruben Galindo. Ruben Galindo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 82 minutes into the match, AcinetobacterFC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Damião came free, but Ruben Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Ferrer kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Guido Gaizko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Salvador Lazcano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to AcinetobacterFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Guido Gaizko hit a great ball. In the 98th minute Baltasar Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Galindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merced AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
