The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Yuri Alcântara put in a rough tackle. 18 minutes into the match, Lastenia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Grillo came free, but Feliciano Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliciano Goyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Grillo in the 22nd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Mergildo Fuente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Feliciano Goyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 played minutes La Herradura FC got a freekick which was hit by Denis Raitin. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lastenia FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Goyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes La Herradura FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Txurio. Mergildo Fuente received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Feliciano Goyo came out and tried to block the shot, but Mergildo Fuente slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Opilano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Efrain Gotzon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 52nd match minute, Lastenia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andriy Shevchenko to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Lastenia FC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Galtero. In the 78th minute, Osvaldo Grillo made a precise shot to the right of Feliciano Goyo. Lastenia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Modesto Opilano's late challenge caught a La Herradura FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Opilano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lastenia FC's Modesto Opilano got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Grillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliciano Goyo. Lastenia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Grillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When Andres Galtero fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lastenia FC's protests and gave Andres Galtero a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lastenia FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Andres Galtero hit a great ball. Mergildo Fuente struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Feliciano Goyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Herradura FC. In the 92nd match minute, La Herradura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mergildo Fuente to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of La Herradura FC booed when Lastenia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. 任海希 didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that La Herradura FC were the better team. La Herradura FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
