Matias Bazil hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th match minute, Windingo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Santiago to maneuver through the defense. Isaias Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Oinaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Leonides Meder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Windingo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Meder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Venancio Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Meder struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Isaias Lugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Windingo. Isaias Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Herensuge in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Marciano Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Leonides Meder put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Isaias Lugo. Filiberto Oinaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Isaias Lugo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Meder took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Lugo. Isaias Lugo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 40th minute, Matias Bazil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Leonides Meder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Lugo. RIVER PLATE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Meder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The supporters of Windingo booed when RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hilario Silbestre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Windingo's Camilo Santiago got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Filiberto Oinaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Lugo having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Windingo's Filiberto Oinaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaias Lugo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Windingo's Leonides Meder got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, RIVER PLATE's Isaias Lugo got control of the ball when Camilo Santiago tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Isaias Lugo managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Windingo's Leonides Meder fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Windingo's Leonides Meder was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Windingo fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Windingo's Leonides Meder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonides Meder received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaias Lugo came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonides Meder slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 73rd minute. If Feliciano Herensuge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Windingo's Leonides Meder made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaias Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Leonides Meder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Uriel Bernebe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isaias Lugo. The goal made the score 0-12. After 95th play minutes Leonides Meder shot 0-13, a short shot which went by Isaias Lugo and just under the crossbar into goal. Windingo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
