Fidel Tab who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Luciano Cordarryl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anselmo Felipillo took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Fertus. Agustin Fertus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Faustino Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Mugueta's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Iturri came free, but Agustin Fertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fidel Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Raimundo Justin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Gilberto Dolfos made a precise shot to the right of Agustin Fertus. Mugueta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Boca Juniors's Anselmo Felipillo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Felipillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Mugueta got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Ibon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Felipillo got free with Agustin Fertus in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Dolfos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The Mugueta fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Mugueta's Fidel Tab looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th match minute, Mugueta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Justin to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mugueta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santos Olivar was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mugueta's goalie and right to Gilberto Dolfos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mugueta's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Severo Iturri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Agustin Fertus made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Gilberto Dolfos could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Agustin Fertus however easily saved by the left post. In the 70th minute of the match, Gilberto Dolfos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agustin Fertus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fidel Tab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Luciano Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Modestio in the 73rd minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Luciano Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugueta's Anselmo Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustin Fertus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Dolfos went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Artemio Argoitz hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Boca Juniors's Mauro Inko was substituted for Anselmo Felipillo. Mauro Inko took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Fertus. Agustin Fertus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. When the match was over Boca Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mugueta throughout the match.
