The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eloy Nisio kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Anselmo Romo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Rodolfo Laurin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustin Fertus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Vikingos's goalkeeper Freddy Roldanillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Tab. Agustin Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Milian in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Rodolfo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Fertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Fertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Naaijer's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Naaijer in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustin Fertus saved Mugueta from getting behind. If Anselmo Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Milian took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Fertus. Agustin Fertus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fidel Tab in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Freddy Roldanillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Ibon during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelio Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Cosme Atarrabi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mugueta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vikingos the free kick. Cosme Atarrabi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Mugueta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Weather to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Fertus came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikingos's Adolfo Milian. But to his dismay, Adolfo Milian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Tab stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cosme Atarrabi was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Adolfo Milian might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustin Fertus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Milian ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Mugueta's goalkeeper Agustin Fertus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Naaijer. Agustin Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Laurin in the 64th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Rodolfo Laurin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Fertus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agustin Fertus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Milian in the 78th minute. Filip Naaijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
