Chiquito Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Cosme Atarrabi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mugueta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Atarrabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eloy Resto F.C.'s goalkeeper Chiquito Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cosme Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chiquito Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Tab in the 22nd minute of play forced Eloy Resto F.C.'s goalkeeper Chiquito Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Eloy Resto F.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Faustino Rioja hit a great ball. Narciso Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play, Mugueta's Fidel Tab made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquito Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Eloy Resto F.C. booed when Mugueta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Romo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Delfino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eloy Resto F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mugueta the free kick. Anselmo Romo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquito Romero having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fidel Tab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chiquito Romero was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Chiquito Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Weather, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Fidel Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mugueta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Tab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Justin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Chiquito Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Mugueta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Inge to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Fertus acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hernan Benino. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fidel Tab made the kick off in the second half. Mugueta's Fidel Tab got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fidel Tab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquito Romero having to interfere. The supporters of Mugueta booed when Eloy Resto F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Ishmael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugueta's Agustin Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Fernanco in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Eloy Resto F.C. booed when Mugueta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Ibon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Fidel Tab dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chiquito Romero, 0-2. Mugueta's Agustin Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Fernandez in the 73rd minute of play. Agustin Fertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Ishmael, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Fidel Tab came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Mugueta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Tab couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Justin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fidel Tab might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chiquito Romero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidel Tab ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eloy Resto F.C.'s goalkeeper Chiquito Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 87 minutes, Narciso Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eloy Resto F.C. and the Mugueta players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Fidel Tab got free in front of the goal in the 88th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Chiquito Romero was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Raimundo Justin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mugueta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Justin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chiquito Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Tab in the 93rd minute of the match. Fidel Tab who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Chiquito Romero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Feliberto Modestio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mugueta's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliberto Modestio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquito Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
