Bruno Paez came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Putin Club - OFF's Nikša Posavec. But to his dismay, Nikša Posavec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute Nikša Posavec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Conrao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Paez having to interfere. Nikša Posavec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Paez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikša Posavec in the 17th minute of play. Bruno Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikša Posavec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Nikša Posavec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Amador Cortez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Mountain State's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putin Club - OFF the free kick. Amador Cortez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Nikša Posavec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Paez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinicio Fix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 32 minutes, Ovidio Tello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blue Mountain State and the Putin Club - OFF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nereo Donzel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Paez having to make a save. 42 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Nikša Posavec came free, but Bruno Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Jacobo Hori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putin Club - OFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Hori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blue Mountain State's Bruno Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikša Posavec in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

57 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's Ovidio Tello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinicio Fix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruno Paez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nikša Posavec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Bruno Paez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laureano Conrao. Nereo Donzel struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Bruno Paez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Putin Club - OFF. In the 74th minute, Aquiles Mambru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bruno Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
