The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Edgardo Bastian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden Black and the River Plate F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Golden Black getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Edgardo Bastian hit a great ball. If Anselmo Luzaide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cornelio Iratxo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celestino Muc. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Teodoro Domiku didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Ostargi went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Golden Black's Edgardo Bastian got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Edgardo Bastian off the ground. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Venancio Ostargi put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Teodoro Domiku. Rodrigo Mancio hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Teodoro Domiku came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Black's Venancio Ostargi. But to his dismay, Venancio Ostargi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Teodoro Domiku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Domiku didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Ostargi went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the game, Golden Black's Venancio Ostargi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Domiku made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Venancio Ostargi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Domiku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Montes in the 36th minute of the match. Golden Black's Celestino Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Iratxo in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes, Venancio Ostargi made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. River Plate F.C's Teodoro Domiku tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Venancio Ostargi made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Venancio Ostargi notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of River Plate F.C's Teodoro Domiku. Teodoro Domiku was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venancio Ostargi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 62 minutes into the match, River Plate F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Montes came free, but Teodoro Domiku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes, Remigio Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate F.C and the Golden Black players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Mancio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Black the free kick. Golden Black's Venancio Ostargi got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Golden Black booed when River Plate F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Ciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Ostargi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teodoro Domiku came out and tried to block the shot, but Venancio Ostargi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Quexal got free with Teodoro Domiku in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venancio Ostargi struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Teodoro Domiku didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Black. When Rodrigo Mancio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. After 93 played minutes River Plate F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Mancio. Golden Black's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
