In the 15th minute Lorenzo Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goel Keep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Empalme Graneros booed when Mira Flores Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Bitxintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruud Gullit in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Ascencio saved Mira Flores Deportivo from getting behind. In the 43rd play minute Jim Sjöström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Goel Keep. 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruud Gullit to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Club Empalme Graneros's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Gentza came free, but Goel Keep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Gentza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Goel Keep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goel Keep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Sjöström, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Arturo Bitxintxo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Goel Keep stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Gentza's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Goel Keep didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Menendo went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute Lorenzo Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Goel Keep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Jim Sjöström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Goel Keep was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Sjöström in the 74th minute of play forced Club Empalme Graneros's goalkeeper Goel Keep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Sjöström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Sjöström in the 79th minute of play forced Club Empalme Graneros's goalkeeper Goel Keep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Lorenzo Gentza made a precise shot to the right of Goel Keep. Club Empalme Graneros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Lorenzo Gentza scored 8-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Goel Keep, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mira Flores Deportivo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
