In the 35th minute Ruud Gullit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Club Empalme Graneros's Teodosio Ascencio threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ruud Gullit, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Club Empalme Graneros's Goel Keep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Rosio in the 40th minute of play. Teodosio Ascencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruud Gullit's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Aresti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Uzuri during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Jonathan Aresti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Menendo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Club Empalme Graneros supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mira Flores Deportivo's performance. The match ended with a win for Mira Flores Deportivo.
