The referee showed Lonny Gilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leon Pilkington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Frantzes in the 9th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Abasto FC's Emiliano Buendia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnaldo Mikelar. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the match, Gabriel-Omar Batista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Mikelar. ElTeamPa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel-Omar Batista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 18 minutes into the match, ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lonny Gilliam. Leon Pilkington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Phelipe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Mikelar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emiliano Buendia in the 21st minute. A collision led to ElTeamPa getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adrian Macario hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Abasto FC's Emiliano Buendia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnaldo Mikelar. Arnaldo Mikelar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Emiliano Buendia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Mikelar having to make a save. A collision led to Abasto FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gabriel-Omar Batista hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Emiliano Buendia took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Arnaldo Mikelar to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Abasto FC's zone, Aldo Frantzes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Pilkington came out of the goal and Aldo Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Cristo Tirso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ElTeamPa's Arnaldo Mikelar did a great save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Gabriel-Omar Batista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Frantzes to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel-Omar Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Mikelar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel-Omar Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. When Emiliano Buendia came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Abasto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Buendia couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Emiliano Buendia notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of ElTeamPa's Arnaldo Mikelar. Arnaldo Mikelar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnaldo Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Buendia in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Emiliano Buendia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Arnaldo Mikelar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Emiliano Buendia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Mikelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Lonny Gilliam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Mikelar was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. The Abasto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. Bonifacio Oliverios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emiliano Buendia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Buendia in the 94th minute of play forced ElTeamPa's goalkeeper Arnaldo Mikelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lonny Gilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
