Devoto 22's Freddy Evangelista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Esparza in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Prudencio Lehior left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herrier fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Dalmacio Llorenc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herrier's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Llorenc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Prudencio Lehior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddy Evangelista. Devoto 22's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Lehior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Astor Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Freddy Evangelista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Mannie in the 34th minute of play forced Herrier's goalkeeper Justo Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Prudencio Lehior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Devoto 22's Freddy Evangelista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Mitxel to strike the kick off in the second half. Pablo Sarracino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Izotz having to interfere. The supporters of Herrier booed when Devoto 22 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Isaio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
