Club SyD CEAF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Stanislao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Patrido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Mero in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Patrido saved Mansilla from getting behind. Maximiliano Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cristian Patrido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulises Stanislao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Honorio Ezkerra made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Patrido. Mansilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Club SyD CEAF booed when Mansilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Ezkerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Club SyD CEAF booed when Mansilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulises Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Mansilla's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Stanislao came free, but Cristian Patrido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Nicolas Danel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Club SyD CEAF's Honorio Ezkerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Patrido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 44 minutes into the match, Club SyD CEAF's goalkeeper Chu Feng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Vidal. Ulises Stanislao might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Patrido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulises Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Ezkerra in the 48th minute of play forced Mansilla's goalkeeper Cristian Patrido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Veremundo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
