Eugenio Ascencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paolo Beliran charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Beliran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Perón's goalkeeper Eugenio Ascencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Americo Argina's late challenge caught a John Wick's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Argina helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Perón's Americo Argina got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Fidel Romano came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the John Wick fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Romano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Perón's zone, Fidel Romano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Ascencio came out of the goal and Fidel Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes, Fidel Romano made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Perón's Eugenio Ascencio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Pelagius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Cresencio in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Freddy Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Freddy Camerino came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the John Wick fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Camerino couldn't finish the play. John Wick's Teodoro Pelagius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Cresencio in the 37th minute of play. Cristobal Telo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, John Wick's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Abreu came free, but Teodoro Pelagius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Perón's Apolo Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Pelagius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Apolo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freddy Camerino was the one to do the kick off. If Freddy Camerino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Camerino in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Ascencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Apolo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Anier Cresencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Teodoro Pelagius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saverio Blasi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, John Wick's Fidel Romano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Ascencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. 92 minutes into the game, Teodosio Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. John Wick's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perón the free kick. After 92 played minutes John Wick got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Torres. Perón were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after John Wick's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Demario took the corner. 99 minutes into the game, Apolo Abreu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodoro Pelagius. Apolo Abreu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-6. Perón's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
