Santa Rosa de Lima's Kepa Arrizabalaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Birjaio in the 24th minute of play. Kepa Arrizabalaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Toribio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Paikín's Lorenzo Birjaio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute Ciriaco Guilabertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kepa Arrizabalaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kepa Arrizabalaga came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Paikín's Juancho Navarro. But to his dismay, Juancho Navarro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciriaco Guilabertus to strike the kick off in the second half. Santa Rosa de Lima's Kepa Arrizabalaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Santa Rosa de Lima from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute Emiliano Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Rodas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Reynaldo Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kepa Arrizabalaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kepa Arrizabalaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciriaco Guilabertus's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Kepa Arrizabalaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Birjaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When Eugenio Vigil fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Rosa de Lima's protests and gave Eugenio Vigil a yellow card for diving instead.
