Wasabi FC's Mateo Romero quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teobaldo Gutierrez during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sonny Safer made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Paulo Vergaray sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 17 minutes, Teofilo Aztore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wasabi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Aztore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Odol made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Reynaldo Casomiro immediately put the ball in play. 27 minutes into the game, Paulo Vergaray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. In the 34th minute of the match Ahmet Ziya Özbey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sonny Safer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute Teofilo Aztore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Gutierrez was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Wasabi FC booed when Umita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Tuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Vergaray charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Vergaray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Vergaray hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Jacobo Moise in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Wasabi FC's Agustin Baristo. Paulo Vergaray's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sonny Safer firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Wasabi FC's Sonny Safer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Vergaray in the 51st minute of play. Sonny Safer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Vergaray in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wasabi FC's Mateo Romero got a free kick in the 59th minute.
