Romeo Patxi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Hernan Librado made a huge save. Hernan Librado was a little too slow when Gavino Umbruso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Ricardo Feliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Romeo Patxi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hernan Librado. The goal made the score 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Argina during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pontevedra F.C.'s Genaro Argina got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Clodoveo Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontevedra F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Patxi got free with Hernan Librado in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gavino Umbruso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hernan Librado came out and tried to block the shot, but Gavino Umbruso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 27th minute. Hernan Librado made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Romeo Patxi sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Pontevedra F.C.'s goalkeeper Hernan Librado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Patxi. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Hernan Librado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hernan Librado was a little too slow when Gavino Umbruso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 42nd minute, Maximo Gau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play, Pontevedra F.C.'s Clodoveo Mikeldi made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Victoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeo Patxi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliciano Oinaz lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The goalkeeper, Domingos Victoro, was totally fooled by Pontevedra F.C.'s Astor Donostia, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Romeo Patxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Gau in the 66th minute of play forced Pontevedra F.C.'s goalkeeper Hernan Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hernan Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Pontevedra F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Patxi came free, but Hernan Librado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Pontevedra F.C. defense, Romeo Patxi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernan Librado. The Pontevedra F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Librado should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Romeo Patxi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Patxi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Librado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeo Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Librado having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Domingos Victoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Mikeldi. A collision led to Pontevedra F.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Genaro Argina hit a great ball. In the 97thth minute of the game Romeo Patxi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontevedra F.C.'s Hernan Librado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pontevedra F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
