Teobaldo Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tiburcio Estevez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sonny Safer. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Javier Salvatore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wasabi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Xeneises FC the free kick. If Victorino Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Los Xeneises FC's Tomas Benitez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Sonny Safer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Estevez in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Javier Salvatore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Etxepare was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Teofilo Aztore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Etxepare having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Los Xeneises FC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Salvatore came free, but Alonzo Etxepare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Merexildo to make the kick off. Leandro Paredes's late challenge caught a Los Xeneises FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Paredes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Wasabi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Wasabi FC were furious when Teobaldo Gutierrez was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The excitement rose when Los Xeneises FC's Gabriel Mikelar after 56 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Wasabi FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Wasabi FC's zone, Tomas Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sonny Safer came out of the goal and Tomas Benitez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the game, Victorino Merexildo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Sonny Safer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sonny Safer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Tiburcio Estevez made a precise shot to the right of Sonny Safer. Wasabi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Tomas Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Safer having to interfere. Gabriel Mikelar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sonny Safer. Wasabi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute, Teofilo Aztore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sonny Safer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Merexildo in the 91st minute of the match. Atilano Marcones hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
