The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Prospero Juvenal notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Linterna Verde FC's Jonas Feo. Jonas Feo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 6th minute, Cañani's Victor Fonso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Feo. Jonas Feo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 9 minutes into the game, Prospero Juvenal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonas Feo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prospero Juvenal struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jonas Feo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cañani. Jonas Feo was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Romulo Asur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Romulo Asur really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Jonas Feo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Botello in the 21st minute of play forced Linterna Verde FC's goalkeeper Jonas Feo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Tabby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Txerran having to interfere. A collision led to Cañani getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Victor Fonso hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Alfonso Bakar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cañani's Faustino Txerran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Presebal in the 31st minute of play. After 37 played minutes Cañani got a freekick which was hit by Victor Fonso. After 39 played minutes Cañani got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Juvenal. Linterna Verde FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Romulo Asur scored to the left of an out of position Jonas Feo, making the score, 5-0. After 44 played minutes Linterna Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Anier Urdin. Romulo Asur received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonas Feo came out and tried to block the shot, but Romulo Asur slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Presebal to make the kick off. Ernesto Presebal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Faustino Txerran firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 65thth minute of the game Anier Urdin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cañani's Faustino Txerran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cañani booed when Linterna Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Benino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linterna Verde FC's Jonas Feo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Botello in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Cañani booed when Linterna Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Bakar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cañani's Faustino Txerran got control of the ball when Ernesto Presebal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Feo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Fonso in the 77th minute of the match. Jonas Feo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Asur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Juvenal in the 82nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Romulo Asur sped through Linterna Verde FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonas Feo. Ermegildo Urdin took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Feo. Jonas Feo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0.
