Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cañani's Eliseo Botello in the 4th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Guaberto Eriz was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Palermo Futbol Club through an amazing save. Faustino Txerran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Ereinotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Romulo Asur scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Eriz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaberto Eriz was a little too slow when Eliseo Botello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. Lino Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Guaberto Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Eriz was a little too slow when Eliseo Botello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. After having played for 20 minutes, Romulo Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cañani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palermo Futbol Club's Guaberto Eriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Palermo Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Lino Estevez lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Guaberto Eriz. Lino Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Eriz having to interfere. Faustino Txerran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Domeka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Cañani's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Ereinotz came free, but Faustino Txerran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Evelio Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cañani's Faustino Txerran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Quinteros in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Cañani booed when Palermo Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Cai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Palermo Futbol Club defense, Romulo Asur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Eriz. The Palermo Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Eriz should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Estevez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lino Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Eriz having to interfere. Palermo Futbol Club's Felipe Serafo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Romulo Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cañani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute Romulo Asur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Eriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo Futbol Club's zone, Eliseo Botello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Eriz came out of the goal and Eliseo Botello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Palermo Futbol Club's Fernando Gonza got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Evelio Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Serafo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Faustino Txerran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Acuña hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Palermo Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Botello came free, but Guaberto Eriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Felipe Serafo could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Faustino Txerran however easily saved by the left post. Faustino Txerran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Ereinotz in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Romulo Asur made a precise shot to the right of Guaberto Eriz. Palermo Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Cañani players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
