In the 6th minute, Bruno Alejo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th match minute, Cañani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Urdin to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, MONARCAS's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Estevez came free, but Benicio Felipillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, MONARCAS's Benicio Hulberto got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lino Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, MONARCAS's Nemesio Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustino Txerran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cañani's zone, Abel Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Txerran came out of the goal and Abel Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bruno Alejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONARCAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Alejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Txerran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When MONARCAS's Nemesio Quinteros in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cañani's goalie prevented a goal. Victor Fonso's late challenge caught a MONARCAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Cañani's Faustino Txerran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Quinteros in the 65th minute of play. Faustino Txerran didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when MONARCAS's Nemesio Quinteros shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Nemesio Quinteros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Txerran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 77 played minutes MONARCAS got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Procopio. MONARCAS's Ubaldo Behe was substituted for Rene Gartzen. MONARCAS made a substitution. Aníbal Passerini replaced Nemesio Quinteros. A collision led to MONARCAS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Eustacio Procopio hit a great ball. Benicio Felipillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Faustino Txerran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aníbal Passerini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 84 minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Louie Hufschmid got a very nice opportunity to score, but Faustino Txerran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cañani's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Aníbal Passerini scored to the left of an out of position Faustino Txerran, making the score, 0-5. The Cañani fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MONARCAS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
