Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Butcher in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toni Butcher in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Catarinense saved Ayajasco from getting behind. With 21 minutes on the clock, Ignacio Sedeni commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 22nd minute, Bernardino Ursino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artemio Endira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Catarinense having to interfere. Luisão Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Butcher in the 31st minute of play. If Leonardo Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Urdaspal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisão Catarinense having to make a save. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo Gelmiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toni Butcher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toni Butcher got free with Luisão Catarinense in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Butcher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Luisão Catarinense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonardo Urdaspal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisão Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. If Moises Laurendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, one of Ayajasco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 71 played minutes Real Bañil F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Matei. In the 75th play minute Pastor Belo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luisão Catarinense. 0-5. Luisão Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Butcher in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Ayajasco getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ingmar Kartau hit a great ball. The supporters of Real Bañil F.C. booed when Ayajasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Marley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Belo hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Real Bañil F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Teo Gelmiro came free, but Alberto Ekaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Leonardo Urdaspal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisão Catarinense, 0-6. Toni Butcher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Luisão Catarinense made a huge save. Ayajasco's Luisão Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Urdaspal in the 97th minute of play. Real Bañil F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
