In the 4th minute San miguel were awarded a corner. Cirilo Ebardo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led San miguel's Cirilo Ebardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgard Mundo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. San miguel were furious when Constantino Machado was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 9 minutes into the match, CUBANO's Rogelio Furman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Suero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner ended in Rogelio Furman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San miguel's Francisco Suero did a great save. In the 13th minute of the match, Gaspar Crispo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Francisco Suero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 16th minute, Cirilo Ebardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San miguel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Emiliano Daunte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Suero having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Francisco Suero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 1-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Gaspar Crispo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gaspar Crispo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Suero. Francisco Suero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, San miguel's goalkeeper Francisco Suero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emiliano Daunte. Edgard Mundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Ebardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Crispo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogelio Furman in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Suero saved San miguel from getting behind. Cirilo Ebardo struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Edgard Mundo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San miguel. Cirilo Ebardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Mundo having to interfere. Edgard Mundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Ebardo in the 62nd minute of the match. Cirilo Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Edgard Mundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Gonzalo Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Suero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, San miguel's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Estebano came free, but Francisco Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Emiliano Daunte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Francisco Suero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
