The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavino Eneto got free with Tzvetan Marvakov in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 11 played minutes defensa argentina got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Senon. Tzvetan Marvakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Polo in the 12th minute of play. Tzvetan Marvakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Chinto having to interfere. Jonas Wind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Aureliano Chinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, defensa argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Pedroso came free, but Tzvetan Marvakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Chinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for defensa argentina. Thiago Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Apolo Polo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tzvetan Marvakov came out and tried to block the shot, but Apolo Polo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Wind to make the kick off. Olgierd Marajda charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olgierd Marajda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thiago Trigo's late challenge caught a Paula AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute Anibal Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tzvetan Marvakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tzvetan Marvakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Pedroso in the 56th minute of the match.
