El Inter's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Paulin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Leoncio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthieu Ruellan in the 15th minute of play forced El Inter's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the El Inter defense, Matthieu Ruellan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo. The El Inter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo should have stopped the shot. Wilfredo Arce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Leoncio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. El Inter's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugenio Laurin in the 27th minute. Hipolito Valiente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Wilfredo Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrufó FC's Elvio Leoncio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Elvio Leoncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Barni Lattapiat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthieu Ruellan was the one to do the kick off. When Wilfredo Arce got free in front of the goal in the 51st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Elvio Leoncio was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Wilfredo Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Arce in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Leoncio saved Arrufó FC from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, El Inter's Wilfredo Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elvio Leoncio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Arrufó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Regis to maneuver through the defense. Elvio Leoncio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Arce's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Arrufó FC's Matthieu Ruellan got a free kick in the 67th minute. Juan Storr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Arce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elvio Leoncio was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Paulin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Elvio Leoncio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
