Gualterio Peio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Eguntsenti having to interfere. Florentino Eguntsenti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Sugar in the 7th minute of play. When Sanagasta AFC's Joel Sugar in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Schalke 04's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, FC Schalke 04's Paulo Cayo got a free kick in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Sanagasta AFC's Toni Mačković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentino Eguntsenti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Schalke 04's Florentino Eguntsenti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Sugar in the 14th minute of play. If Gualterio Peio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Mačković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Eguntsenti having to interfere. Rene Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Luciano Fliz made a huge save. Luciano Fliz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Silvestre Ofelio. After 36 minutes of play, Sanagasta AFC's Gualterio Peio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Eguntsenti was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailín Willson in the 39th minute of play forced FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Florentino Eguntsenti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Ailín Willson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Eguntsenti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Florentino Eguntsenti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Sugar's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. If Joel Sugar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Sugar to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gualterio Peio made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Eguntsenti. FC Schalke 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Salvidor during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Schalke 04 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ramon Salvidor hit a great ball. Candido Aztore was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sanagasta AFC's Gualterio Peio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Joel Sugar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florentino Eguntsenti. Joel Sugar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 70th match minute, Sanagasta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Erramun to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Sugar in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Eguntsenti saved FC Schalke 04 from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Schalke 04's zone, Toni Mačković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Toni Mačković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Eguntsenti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Sugar in the 82nd minute of the match. Florentino Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Mačković, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Gualterio Peio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ailín Willson came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sanagasta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ailín Willson couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Sanagasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Nuno came free, but Luciano Fliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sanagasta AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
