Mario Gilabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Felo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Gilabert ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, Bernal's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Gilabert came free, but Guillermo Felo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Bernal's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno de Godoi came free, but Guillermo Felo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Pietro in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Niproback got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Odilon. After having played for 44 minutes, Maximino Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Gilabert to make the kick off. Bernal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Mario Gilabert scored to the left of an out of position Guillermo Felo, making the score, 0-4. 55 minutes into the game, Niproback's Mario Gilabert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Felo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 60 minutes into the match, Bernal's goalkeeper Guillermo Felo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Jacindo. In the 61st match minute, Niproback was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Odilon to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bernal's Edgardo Dimo got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Baldomiro Barrionuevo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Bernal's Guillermo Felo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Larra in the 76th minute of play. Nuno de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Mario Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Mario Gilabert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bernal's Guillermo Felo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sergio Larra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Felo having to interfere. Mario Gilabert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Guillermo Felo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd minute of the match Hans Sloothaak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Felo skillfully saved the ball.
