Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jairo Arlo started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Frans Zwartkruis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maravilla's Severo Bonifaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Zayas in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Maravilla defense, Diego Zayas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Bonifaco. The Maravilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Bonifaco should have stopped the shot. Jairo Arlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Severo Bonifaco made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Frans Zwartkruis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Restu. Union de Sta Fe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frans Zwartkruis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With an all-out effort, Union de Sta Fe's Severo Bonifaco threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Diego Zayas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Maravilla fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Maravilla's Frans Zwartkruis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frans Zwartkruis in the 26th minute of play forced Union de Sta Fe's goalkeeper Baldomiro Restu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes, Jairo Arlo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Union de Sta Fe and the Maravilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Union de Sta Fe getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jairo Arlo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frans Zwartkruis in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Restu saved Union de Sta Fe from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Arlo got free with Severo Bonifaco in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36thth minute of the game Frans Zwartkruis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union de Sta Fe's Baldomiro Restu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Union de Sta Fe's Baldomiro Restu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Vinhas in the 39th minute of play. Severo Bonifaco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Arlo in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Frans Zwartkruis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Restu was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Frans Zwartkruis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Maravilla were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frans Zwartkruis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Bebeto Vinhas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 52 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Frans Zwartkruis. Frans Zwartkruis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baldomiro Restu came out and tried to block the shot, but Frans Zwartkruis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frans Zwartkruis in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Restu saved Union de Sta Fe from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Vinicio Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Reyes in the 69th minute of the match. When Maravilla's Frans Zwartkruis in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Union de Sta Fe's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frans Zwartkruis in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Restu saved Union de Sta Fe from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Union de Sta Fe's Jairo Arlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severo Bonifaco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Mino came free, but Severo Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frans Zwartkruis in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomiro Restu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute, Leonardo Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Frans Zwartkruis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldomiro Restu. That made the score 2-4 in the 89 minute of play. Severo Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Mino in the 92nd minute of the match. If Frans Zwartkruis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Maravilla players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
