The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jim Gabrielsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Primitivo Etxepare fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAJA lechuzo's protests and gave Primitivo Etxepare a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes CAJA lechuzo got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Etxepare. Jim Gabrielsson came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Gugu de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Asso Kraav had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jim Gabrielsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gugu de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Gabrielsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gugu de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu de Mendonça in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Gabrielsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jim Gabrielsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Gugu de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Road To Glory's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Gabrielsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gugu de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Road To Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Gabrielsson having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Gao Xing Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42ndth minute of the game Gugu de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CAJA lechuzo's Jim Gabrielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CAJA lechuzo's zone, Gugu de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Gabrielsson came out of the goal and Gugu de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gugu de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jim Gabrielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Primitivo Etxepare to strike the kick off in the second half. Jim Gabrielsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gugu de Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. In the 54th minute, Gugu de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gugu de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, CAJA lechuzo's 尤棋松 got a free kick in the 67th minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Gugu de Mendonça put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jim Gabrielsson. Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Gabrielsson having to make a save. Road To Glory's Gao Xing Zhen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 尤棋松 in the 80 minute of the game. Jim Gabrielsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gugu de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Gugu de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Gabrielsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gugu de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute, Gugu de Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Road To Glory fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Rogelio Abeita kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jim Gabrielsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gugu de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Gugu de Mendonça lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Jim Gabrielsson. Road To Glory's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
