The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esquina FC's Julio Guib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Esquina FC from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute, Xene Fc's Helge Dale ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Guib. Julio Guib yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Nemesio Feliz kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Esquina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Raymond to maneuver through the defense. Julio Guib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rabah Khaldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Rabah Khaldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Julio Guib made a huge save. With 17 minutes on the clock, Victor Isaio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 17 minutes into the game, one of Xene Fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Esquina FC. Orlando Sesuldo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgardo Marz. 1-1. Helge Dale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helge Dale might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Guib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Helge Dale ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgardo Marz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Feliz in the 36th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Xene Fc defense, Nemesio Feliz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Marz. The Xene Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Marz should have stopped the shot. Edgardo Marz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Montay, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Alonzo Elazar charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonzo Elazar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Xene Fc booed when Esquina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rabah Khaldi in the 55th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Sabino during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Xene Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Sabino to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Martinez might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Guib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Martinez ran back to his position shaking his head. When Xene Fc's Helge Dale in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esquina FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Helge Dale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xene Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Helge Dale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Guib breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helge Dale in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Guib saved Esquina FC from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Abel Oidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esquina FC's Orlando Sesuldo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edgardo Marz but with some difficulty. Esquina FC's Julio Guib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Dale in the 84th minute of play. Placido Montay charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Placido Montay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Esquina FC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Montay. Rabah Khaldi's late challenge caught a Esquina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rabah Khaldi helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Dale in the 96th minute of play. Xene Fc were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
