In the 15th match minute, Vieja guardia futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Ordono to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Esquina FC defense, Fermin Montrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Guib. The Esquina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Guib should have stopped the shot. Marcial Adrio kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Arnoldo Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Feliz in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Esquina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Montrell came free, but Julio Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Guib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Montrell in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Abelardo Lucado made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Esquina FC's Julio Guib tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Fermin Montrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Guib was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Abelardo Lucado scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Guib, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Esquina FC defense, Fermin Montrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Guib. The Esquina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Guib should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Vieja guardia futbol's Jeremias Neron got a free kick in the 45th minute. Esquina FC's Orlando Sesuldo took a good shot, in the 46th minute, which hit the crossbar above Arnoldo Mateus's head, and flew over the goal. Vieja guardia futbol's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Esquina FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nemesio Feliz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Fermin Montrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Lucado took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Guib. Julio Guib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. In the 62nd minute, one of Esquina FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esquina FC. Dalmacio Neron placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Abelardo Lucado came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Guib could save by the left post. A collision led to Vieja guardia futbol getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cipriano Ordono hit a great ball. Arnoldo Mateus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Montay in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match Lino Enaut shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnoldo Mateus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Vieja guardia futbol's Fermin Montrell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Guib. Julio Guib yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. If Fermin Montrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Lucado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-11 in the 91st playminute. When the match was over Vieja guardia futbol could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Esquina FC throughout the match.
