Claudio Bravo came out of the goal and Emiliano Sabin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes Papagallos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Natalio Inocente who took care of the corner kick. In the 43rd match minute, Independent Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Estavan to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Bravo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Natalio Inocente went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Afonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Inocente in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Bravo saved Papagallos from getting behind. In the 59th minute Angelino Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Bravo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Angelino Tavio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
