With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Ekain in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Semeno saved Malargüe from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Fidel Ekain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnulfo Semeno. Malargüe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Ekain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fidel Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FORTALESE's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Genaro Monico scored to the left of an out of position Camilo Richie, making the score, 1-2. Camilo Richie was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Javier Marquez. Camilo Richie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Monico's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Enrique Gonzo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Fidel Ekain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnulfo Semeno having to make a save. If Enrique Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Semeno having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, FORTALESE's goalkeeper Camilo Richie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Iruinea. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Monico to make the kick off. Javier Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Richie having to interfere. When Fidel Ekain came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the FORTALESE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Ekain couldn't finish the play. Roman Ignado hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, Maximo Ekain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Arnulfo Semeno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fidel Ekain in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Semeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fidel Ekain in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnulfo Semeno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Malargüe booed when FORTALESE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Monico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Richie having to interfere.
