La Juve Salteña's Rafael Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Naldo in the 9th minute of play. Rafael Sidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Onofre in the 11th minute. After 15 minutes, Feliberto Clemencin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piquillín FC and the La Juve Salteña players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Piquillín FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Clemencin to maneuver through the defense. If Teofilo Tonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When La Juve Salteña's Rubén Paz in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaias Naldo to make the kick off. Rubén Paz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Florentino Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florentino Gonzo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by La Juve Salteña's Rubén Paz. But to his dismay, Rubén Paz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rubén Paz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Florentino Gonzo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Furman in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Gonzo saved Piquillín FC from getting behind. Feliberto Clemencin kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Rafael Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Onofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaias Naldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rafael Sidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Sidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Mancio in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, La Juve Salteña's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Sasoin came free, but Rafael Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Osorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rubén Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Antonio Mancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Piquillín FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing La Juve Salteña to win.
