In the 13thth minute of the game Edelmiro Mikeldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DE LA SALLE's Jesus Nuno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisito Lico in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Nuno saved DE LA SALLE from getting behind. After 23 played minutes Churriaca got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Ostrowski. Teodoro Cuarto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Tulio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Mikeldi in the 26th minute of play forced DE LA SALLE's goalkeeper Jesus Nuno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Mikeldi struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jesus Nuno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Churriaca. DE LA SALLE's Jesus Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Mikeldi in the 33rd minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, DE LA SALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Mikeldi came free, but Jesus Nuno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Jesco kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of DE LA SALLE booed when Churriaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball.
