Rogelio Claris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Tanio in the 7th minute of play. Los Triperos's Jeronimo Jerrald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rogelio Claris in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rogelio Claris came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Triperos's Samuel Dacio. But to his dismay, Samuel Dacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Salvador Gilesindo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Georg Krooni. The goal made the score 1-1. After a rather tough play, Los Triperos's Jeronimo Jerrald got a free kick in the 25th minute. Georg Krooni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Nofre in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Arturo Baldovino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Haroldo Olayo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Georg Krooni. Haroldo Olayo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 47th minute Haroldo Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Krooni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Georg Krooni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Olayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Lesardo charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justino Lesardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogelio Claris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Igon in the 60th minute of play. Arturo Baldovino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rogelio Claris made a huge save. When Jeronimo Jerrald came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Los Triperos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Jerrald couldn't finish the play. After having played for 68 minutes, Patricio Nofre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Nofre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Los Triperos defense, Gaspar Muno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Krooni. The Los Triperos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Krooni should have stopped the shot. Los Triperos's Claudio López was substituted for Leonides Igon. Georg Krooni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Nofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Rogelio Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Jerrald, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Claudio López was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
